Bagless days in school ncert releases guidelines importance and motive of bagless days for class 6 to 8

Guidelines For Bagless Days: The day is not far when children will not frown at the thought of going to school but will happily go to school, that too without a bag. Yes, now children will get a chance to go to school without a bag for ten days in a year. During this time, they will spend time in other activities instead of studying and will enjoy school to the fullest. The Union Education Ministry has recommended this in the guidelines issued for students.

Which class will get the facility

This recommendation is especially for children of classes 6 to 8. These will be called bagless days, i.e. days when students will go to school without bags. During this time, they will be engaged in many activities like visiting parks, visiting fairs, touring their village or city.

what is the purpose

The aim of this campaign is to attract children towards practical training and practical knowledge from a young age. They should start taking vocational education from an early age and their interest in this field should increase. Emphasis will be laid on teaching things to children by increasing practical knowledge instead of bookish knowledge.

Guidelines released

The Ministry of Education released guidelines for Bagless Days on the fourth anniversary of NEP. These guidelines have been prepared by PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education. This is a unit of NCERT. Under this, children from class 6 to 8 can try their hand at important craft subjects like carpentry, metal work, pottery making etc. according to their interest.

You will get a chance twice

These ten days can be divided into two times. That means there can be bagless days for children twice a year. Five times at a time and five times at another time. During these days they will be kept busy in other ways.

Meet these people, take them to these places

According to media reports, during these five days, children can be introduced to experts on various subjects, such as a sportsperson, a fashion designer. Similarly, during this time, they can be taken to places like post office, bank, police station, park, fair etc.

Teachers’ responsibilities will increase

When this recommendation is implemented, the responsibility of the teachers will increase. They will have to see how to keep the children engaged. They will also have to ensure that they are engaged in their favourite activities. When given a particular activity, it will also be the teacher’s responsibility to decide how to complete it. This method of teaching in a playful manner can be fun for the children.
